On this Saturday, we went on the American Women’s Club – Shanghai cruise. It was so much fun and I have been looking forward to going. I wasn’t too sure of the theme: Pajamas, but if you know me, you know I am always up for a theme party. Jeff has a Dragon on the back of his robe (very Chinese). I thought I was getting a Chinese robe, too, but was informed by my ayi that it was actually more Japanese looking. So what did I do? Put my hair up with some chopsticks and I guess you could say Jeff’s Geisha Girl. We had a great time and were able to sit with friends and dance to mostly 80’s and 70’s music on a beautiful night on the Huang Pu River. Can’t wait for the Spring Cruise!
The funniest part of the night was walking up to Dock #7 and all the Chinese people looking at all the Americans in their pajamas. I know enough Chinese to explain to them we were going to a night party and had to wear Pajamas. They thought it was really funny!
