Wise guy answer for wise guy question

So it is the first day of school and I am riding the bus. Several of the kids that know Josh ask what grade he is in. He says Kindergarten. One child new on the bus says: “Oh, was he in preschool last year?” Another who knew him from last year said: “Kindergarten?! Weren’t you in that last year?” Poor little Josh looks at them and says, “Yes, I was.” And they were like “Why, why? I don’t understand?”. I turned around to them and said: “He liked it so much, he thought he would do it again this year since it was so much fun.” Silence. No more questions. I think I made my point. Would you have done it this way? I hope this wasn’t too much of a wise guy comment. I know in a few weeks the kids will stop thinking about it or asking questions, but I really don’t want my baby to think there’s anything wrong with this decision we make for him. God is revealing to me more and more everyday that this was the right choice for Josh. I am so glad I have a husband that thinks more clearly about these things than me, too.
