Dino Ranch Park

On the 14th, we had a truly China experience: Visiting a Chinese Waterpark. The cost to get in was high by China standards, even though we were there on a discount day for adults so we got in for 150 RMB and 100 RMB for children (although, we missed the Wednesday "Hotties" Day which was another cool 50 RMB cheaper). So entrance fee was about $50 USD. The nit that I wasn't loving is that we had to rent the float for the lazy river for 50 RMB and a 50 RMB deposit making it about $6 USD after turning it back in and getting our deposit back. The frustrating thing: The kiddos preferred walking the lazy river because it was faster! I went with my friend Fawn and her 2 boys that are close in age to Grant and Josh. Half the rides were closed, but we did have fun in the ones that were opened. We got a few stares, not too many Westerners, especially Fawn's youngest who is blond.

The weirdest ride was a cave we went through with stalagtites (or are those stalagmites that come from the top?) that had freezing cold water coming off of them, and naked frozen people (not real people, but mannequins) behind glass that were, yes, anatomically correct. My guess is this was an "ice age" cave. You would never have something like this in AMERICA!
